Tailcoat is a Swedish-Danish band that blends traditional Nordic folk music with progressive and global influences. Their instrumental compositions draw inspiration from Danish and Swedish folk traditions, incorporating elements from various genres worldwide. The band's unique sound is characterized by the use of instruments such as the Swedish nyckelharpa, Norwegian Hardanger fiddle, cittern, 5-string electric bass, and a diverse array of percussion, including Middle Eastern hand drums. This combination results in a cinematic and innovative musical experience that both honors and expands upon the sound of nordic music.
